Alumni & Communications The A&C chairs are responsible for maintaining constant communication with our extensive alumni base and for keeping them informed of the events we plan for them. Additionally, they manage our database of alumni dating back to when our chapter was founded. The A&C committee is ready to introduce fresh ideas for networking opportunities and fun brotherhood/alumni events to AKPsi through their committee in the fall.
Brotherhood Brs. De Majo and Gazette plan the events that the brotherhood partakes in throughout the semester. Most commonly, these activities include dinners, sports events and competitions, bowling, whirlyball, cider mill visits, ski trips, etc. Jacqueline and Florencía have 2 words to describe this semester's brotherhood events: AKPsi olympics.
Social Brs. Kastelz and Mancini keep the brotherhood bond strong by planning and executing our chapter’s social gatherings and events. Sabrina and Erin hope to plan unique and exciting social events that will form lasting memories within the brotherhood this semester.
Pledging and Recruiting The P&R committee plays a critical role in the brotherhood, as they provide all the materials and plan all the events that are integral to the rush process. Beyond rush, Brs. Hamelin, Freeman and Mrowka supplement the new pledges’ rush experiences by continuing to plan events and provide guidance through the pledge process. This semester, P&R will be bringing creative ideas and an optimistic attitude to AKPsi so that they can accumulate the greatest AKPsi-Phi pledge class ever (the Beta Alphas!).
Fundraising Brs. Garske and Turner will be executing innovative fundraising events throughout the semester to uphold the fraternity’s budget for rush activities, professional events, etc.
Philanthropy Brs. Kiesel and Kim (a Big/Little pair, in fact!) will be sustaining the fraternity’s strong connection with the Detroit Partnership by organizing volunteer events for the Partnership to improve the overall blight of Detroit, namely, AKPsi will be active in the Shurley Center to contribute their business knowledge to citizens of Detroit, MI. They are thrilled to be working as a team this semester to combine their immense passion for philanthropy into rewarding and consistent brotherhood events.
Careers and Investing The Careers and Investing committee uncovers the intricacies of the real world through the events they host to bring light to career paths, industries and investments. Commonly held events include: industry workshops and learning sessions, mock interviews, stock market competitions, etc. Brs. Giudice and Islam are eager to bring cumulative exposure, better insight, and fresh perspectives of various industries to AKPsi through their committee in the fall.
Professional Brs. McClain and Fetters compliment the Careers & Investing committee’s duties by providing the brotherhood with professional speakers, company events, and other more formal activities that connect the business focus of the fraternity to practical real world understanding. They are most excited to bring tangible personal growth in the fraternity through the professional committee.
